A Gaussian distribution, also known as a normal distribution, is a type of continuous probability distribution for a real-valued random variable. It is symmetrically centered around its mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean. The shape of the distribution is often referred to as a bell curve due to its bell-shaped appearance.
